Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment
An industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with rotating equipment experience to support reliability and performance of critical plant assets. This role works closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and lead root cause investigations
- Develop maintenance and overhaul plans for major equipment
- Support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs
- Review vendor documentation and support equipment upgrades or improvements
- Participate in reliability initiatives and plant maintenance planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience supporting rotating equipment in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of compressors, pumps, and rotating machinery systems
- Familiarity with industry standards and reliability tools
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
