Engineering Group Leader
Baton Rouge, LA
Serve as the engineering leader over for a small chemical plant in the Baton Rouge area. Your group will provide process, process control (DCS) and project engineering support to the units and new product scale ups. This site has made good strides in on stream time and is now focusing on off grade reduction. Reports to the Plant Manager who is looking for a strong focus on mentoring/coaching and continuous improvement. 9/80 schedule
- Provide leadership to 2-3 chemical engineers plus technicians
- Drive unit optimization through process technical support and process control
- Identify the root cause of off grade material and control the process to alleviate.
- Troubleshoot process upsets and quality deviations
- Manage PSM and support EHS excellence
- Manage the budgeting, planning and execution of capital projects
- Develop process improvement projects and implement new technology
- Track KPI’s and identify areas for improvement
BS CHE and 7+ years of experience in a chemical plant or equivalent environment.
