We’re looking for Senior Automation & Controls Engineer to help design, support, and improve control systems for power generation and industrial equipment. This role is hands-on, collaborative, and ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex automation challenges in real-world environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain automation and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, embedded systems, and industrial controls.
- Support Operations teams with system use, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Work with engineering teams to implement new automation technologies.
- Test new equipment and support project planning and execution.
- Maintain documentation and provide technical support across departments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with real-time control, automation, or embedded systems (C/C++/structured text).
- 5+ years hands-on experience with industrial control hardware.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, function blocks, and automation practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a valid driver’s license.
- Experience with protection relays, SEL hardware, RTAC, or genset controllers.
- Familiarity with Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLCs, medium/high voltage gear, or power management systems.
- SCADA/HMI integration experience.
- Understanding of electrical protection schemes, arc flash studies, and NEC standards.
