Project Engineer
Southeast Houston
Serve as a Project Engineer for an expanding chemical plant in the Houston Area. You will oversee projects from start to finish at a smaller chemical plant. The current projects are plant expansions to introduce new products to the site. Future projects will be focused on process improvements. This company has been extremely stable through all economic cycles and has an outstanding safety record (no OHSA recordables for last 6-7 years). The hiring manager has been with the company over 15 years.
- Manage project approvals, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop process improvement projects
- Prepare the engineering designs and project specifications
- Review and approve project drawings, flow sheets, isometrics, P&IDs
- Develops Request for Proposal packages with appropriate selection criteria and metrics
- Facilitate project safety during the construction phases
- Oversees contractor project activities
- Monitor project progress and performance against plans and resolve operational problems and delays
BS CHE or BS ME and 3 or more years of project engineering experience in a chemical plant.
