Due to a recent promotion, an HR Manager opportunity is available with a leading chemical producer. Oversee all Human Resource programs at a chemical plant and manage a department of 7 people. This role serves on the site leadership team, advises the board, and reports to the HR Director who is a board member. Coach and develop the department which consist mainly of young staff. Be willing to challenge the status quo and confront problems as they arise. This is a diverse and expanding chemical producer.
- Build and improve HR policies and strategies
- Oversee organizational design and updates
- Manager succession planning and leadership development
- Serve as the primary lead for collective bargaining with labor unions
- Ensure HR and Labor Compliance
- Lead culture transformation
- Coach managers on HR and leadership issues
- Set compensation and benefits strategies
- Manage people and labor risks
- Solve complex problems and develop comprehensive system solutions
- Oversee and update training programs
BS Degree and 10 + years of HR experience with 5 years of labor relations in a union environment. Contract negotiating experience preferred and this role requires chemical plant or refining experience.
