Support electrical and instrumentation needs for a chemical plant owned by a mid-size and stable specialty chemical producer. Their products sell for 5 to 15$ per pound. Consistent profit share, good benefits and 9/80 work schedule. Multiple sites in Houston for career growth.
- Provide maintenance and troubleshooting for electrical systems and some instrumentation
- Drive long term reliability improvements especially on electrical systems
- Maintain the DCS and related systems and provide upgrades
- Work closely with I&E Techs to support the units and be in the units
- Design, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems and equipment for manufacturing operations.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, motors, drives, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and project engineering to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Assist with capital projects (such as installing a new transformer), including scope development, cost estimation, vendor coordination, and project execution.
BS EE and 4 + years of experience in manufacturing environment with a preference for chemicals, refining, or pulp and paper.
