We’re identifying an Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance, permitting, and performance improvement across our client's operating facility. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while driving continuous improvement in environmental programs and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and USCG environmental regulations.
- Interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to daily operations.
- Prepare and submit environmental permits, reports, and compliance plans.
- Support air, water, and waste program management and emission tracking.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on environmental initiatives.
- Review projects and Management of Change (MOC) for permitting implications.
- Evaluate emerging regulations and identify potential business impacts.
- Lead or support agency inspections and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Environmental Engineering or related discipline (required).
- Experience in environmental or process engineering in refining, petrochemical, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental data systems.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
