Provide remediation, water and waste regulatory compliance support at a large and diverse chemical plant. Take ownership of these programs (remediation, SPCC) for your area of the site (remediation responsibility covers the whole site) and interact with regulatory agencies and develop and maintain permits and compliance systems. Excellent company to work for and we placed the hiring manager here 4 years ago and she was just promoted into a supervisory role. This role is open due to a promotion to corporate.
- Support operations and maintenance to ensure a consistent understanding of environmental regulatory requirements
- Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements, effectively identifying solutions
- Network and represent the site in trade organizations and in best practice groups
- Gain and understanding of the production process in assigned areas
- Proactively identifies opportunities to make improvements
- Demonstrate the ability to move a team to consensus on difficult issues and effectively deals with ambiguity.
- Develop and/or manage environmental compliance systems
- BS Engineering with 7+ years of experience with a working knowledge of SPCC, FRP, remediation, TRRP, RCRA
