One of our clients has significant investments planned for future TAs (Upward of $200MM) and they are looking for an experienced engineer to provide expertise and guidance to younger team members. This is a contract role projected to last from mid year 2025 to the end of 2027.
If you are looking for a team environment and a fun challenge for a few more years. This position is for you. A BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is required, and over 15 years of experience in a refining setting is ideal.

Provide technical expertise on mechanical systems, including piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment.

Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).

Lead failure investigations and root cause analyses for mechanical equipment and structural issues.

Support maintenance and reliability teams by recommending improvements to equipment performance and uptime.

Oversee mechanical integrity programs, including fitness-for-service evaluations and inspection planning.

Develop scope and technical content for turnaround and capital projects, including cost estimates and schedules.

Mentor plant engineers and junior staff, transferring knowledge and best practices.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, civil, and electrical engineers, to ensure integrated project execution.

Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations, participating in HAZOPs and risk assessments as needed.

Advise on vendor selection and review equipment procurement documents for technical accuracy and suitability.
