Project Engineer
Southeast Houston
Serve as a Project Engineer for a small and expanding chemical plant in the Houston Area. The current projects are plant expansions to introduce new products to the site. There is another large project pending market improvement. Additional future projects will be focused on process improvements and will be small to medium sized projects. This company has been extremely stable through all economic cycles and has an outstanding safety record (no OHSA recordables for last 6-7 years). The hiring manager has been with the company over 15 years.
- Manage project approvals, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop process improvement projects
- Prepare the engineering designs and project specifications
- Review and approve project drawings, flow sheets, isometrics, P&IDs
- Develops Request for Proposal packages with appropriate selection criteria and metrics
- Facilitate project safety during the construction phases
- Oversees contractor project activities
- Monitor project progress and performance against plans and resolve operational problems and delays
BS CHE or BS ME and 4 or more years of project engineering experience in a chemical plant or refinery. Relocation is available.
