Join a growing specialty chemical manufacturer as a Process Safety Engineer. In this role, you'll help lead Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives while partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
The successful candidate will serve as a key technical resource for the site's Process Safety Management program, driving OSHA PSM compliance while leading hazard analyses, Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs), incident investigations, and continuous improvement efforts. You'll also support employee training, regulatory inspections, and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen plant safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Experience in Process Safety Management (PSM) engineering role
- OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management training
- Experience leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Layers of Protection Analyses (LOPAs), and Management of Change (MOC) programs
- Strong knowledge of process safety, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and incident investigation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Previous manufacturing leadership experience preferred
