Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment located in the Greater Houston Area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting and possess a strong foundation in power systems, controls, instrumentation, and industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems and equipment for manufacturing operations.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, motors, drives, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and project engineering to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures and process disruptions.
- Assist with capital projects, including scope development, cost estimation, vendor coordination, and project execution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, drawings, and maintenance records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, motor controls, PLC programming, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial automation platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Exposure to project management or capital projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure is a plus.
