Process Engineer to Sales Opportunity
If you are seeking to move from an engineering role into a commercial role, this could be ideal for you.
Manage incoming sales from existing customer relationships for a sold-out specialty chemical business. They are "drowning" in new business and are working to expand their production capacity to keep up. Manage customer relationships through the sales and delivery process. You will office at the plant and interact with a variety of personnel as you manage orders and track materials onsite to meet forecasts. This is a stable company with great demand for the plant’s products. Their major competitor left the business. Small profit share, strong 401k, and savings plan.
Work with sales managers and customers to ensure a good customer experience
Develop and manage business relationships for 2 product lines
Manage customer complaints promptly
Work with customers to provide updated forecasts on product availability
Review product storage levels and produce availability to meet demand
Assist the logistics team with overseas customers
Enter sales data into SAP
Manage commercial contracts and track actionable dates
Review past due invoices
Evaluate costs and profit margins for each customer
Create and track financial reports
Growth potential to outside sales (international travel) or Account Manager or other commercial roles. This company takes great care of its employees. Several retirements in the commercial group over the next few years will create good advancement potential.
