Senior Process Engineer #1061
Location: Houston, TX
Salary: 110 – 118k base
Our best client has asked us to help them locate and hire 2 process engineers for their large petrochemical complex in the Houston area. We have personally filled over 75 engineering positions with this client over the last 15 years. They offer excellent career opportunities in the Houston area and are a large and diverse chemical producer.
Provide process/production engineering support for a world class olefins units located at the Houston Chemical complex. You will identify and implement a wide variety of variable cost improvement projects. You will mentor less experienced engineers in terms of technical and professional development. This position requires interface with a diverse group of customers such as technical groups, operations, maintenance, purchasing, and HSE personnel for safe, environmental sound, and cost effective execution of identified projects in the units.
You must possess a solid understanding of unit operations and PSM systems. Process simulation experience is a plus and be able to effectively interact with all levels of Project, Operations, Reliability, Maintenance, and Business organizations. You must possess excellent technical, communication and organizational skills to ensure successful identification and implementation of plant improvement projects. Individual must effectively facilitate teamwork to obtain alignment goals within the organization.
Qualifications:
BS CHE plus 5 years process or production engineering experience.
You should also be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in the following competencies should be demonstrated: Results orientation, Champions Change, Technological Orientation, Teamwork, Communication Effectiveness, and Systemic Thinking.
