Rotating Equipment Engineer #1729
Location: NJ
Salary: $100 – $125K range with target bonus of 15%, relocation assistance is available.
Position Summary:You will be the site owner of the rotating equipment program at a large scale continuous processing operation. You will be responsible for developing programs and providing equipment troubleshooting that lead to the continuous improvement of rotating equipment availability.
Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and technically sound solutions to rotating equipment issues.
- Develop / optimize preventive & predictive maintenance program including lube oil analysis and vibration monitoring.
- Develop / Maintain rotating equipment criticality profile for optimizing sparing and operating strategy.
- Analyze failures, perform root cause of failure analysis with emphasis on human reliability and recommend corrective action.
- Work with Maintenance personnel to develop equipment outage plans.
- Develop / optimize bad actor failure reduction program and track results using key performance indicators.
- Develop life cycle costs for rotating equipment repairs and replacement.
- Develop QA/QC standards for rotating equipment repair.
- Perform detailed vibration / spectrum analysis of critical equipment as needed for predictive maintenance and potential failure analysis.
- Perform reliability gap assessments on critical rotating equipment to evaluate risk and proposed capital investments.
- Apply engineering standards for new pump / compressor purchasing / design reviews.
- Develop and lead training programs for operations and maintenance personnel.
Requirements
- BS Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience.
- Hands-on experience in heavy industrial settings (Refining, Chemicals, Petroleum,) required.
- Demonstrated development or ownership of similar reliability programs.
- In depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards including API 610, 611, 612, 687, and 682
- Experience in inspection, and repair of rotating equipment including pumps and compressors.
- Effective team leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of business team.
