Process Safety Projects Engineer #1089
Location: Baton Rouge/New Orleans Corridor
Salary: 90-115K + 10% bonus target
Our client is a major refinery with a large oil producer. They are seeking a process safety engineer to function as a critical link between the Project Group and the Process safety group. This engineer will participate in project development and review and assurance. Will also assist the site in PSM efforts through audits and PHA’s.
Key Accountabilities:
- Participate on project teams
- Facilitate Project Safety Reviews (PSRs)
- Facilitate PHAs (Process Hazards Analysis)
- Facilitate Safety in Design
- Provide OSHA compliance assurance in Projects
- Conduct HEMP/LOPA analysis (Hazards and Effects Management Practice/Layers of Protection Analysis)
- Assure projects meet ALARP Standards (As Low as Reasonably Practicable)
- Perform project risk assessment, justification, mitigation studies
- Assist in Investigations and Audits as needed
Requirements:
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- B.S. in Engineering Discipline or other technical degree
- 5 yrs minimum experience in project management
- HEMP/LOPA certification perferred but not required
- Experience facilitating PHAs, PSRs, and PSSRs desired
