Process Engineer (Two Positions) #1307
Location: Port Arthur, TX
Salary: $75K to $130K
The Process Engineer is responsible for providing day-to-day process engineering technical support for process unit operations in a petrochemical/refining environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
- Monitoring unit performance/yield
- Troubleshooting operational problems
- Implementing PSM initiatives, including participating in PHA’s, MOC’s, etc.
- Obtaining working knowledge of major unit work processes
- Providing proactive technical services to the unit customers (operations, maintenance, supervision) on a day to day basis
- Providing trouble shooting services and assistance during turnarounds and start-up projects
- Contributing to monitoring and optimization strategies
- Identifying improvement opportunities within the assigned unit
- Participate and/or Tap Root incident investigations
- Conducting process designs for unit modifications
- Involved in operators’ training.
REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this position, you must possess
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Approximately 3 or more years experience in process engineering in a refining or petrochemical manufacturing environment.
