Process Engineer #997
LOCATION: US Virgin Islands
SALARY: Base range is 90k to 120k
This is a new facility and is the largest, single unit of its kind in the world. They need a Process Engineer to support the processes and equipment used in the operation of an alternative energy plant. This position reports to the Plant Manager who is also a ChE.
The plant employs 30 people and will include the following unit operations/equipment: dehydration, boilers, tanks, cooling equipment, bio water treatment, and terminals/shipping. The process engineer will work closely with the plant manager at a small and modern chemical plant and will cover the process, production and project engineering needs of the site.
DUTIES:
- Provide technical and operational support to the entire operation.
- Update operating procedures and establish operating guidelines, troubleshoot equipment and processes and develop new and updated procedures.
- Make recommendations for improvements and modification to equipment and processes to improve, includes: performance, profitability, reliability, and safety.
- Train operators on modifications to operating procedures, processes, and process safety improvements.
- Duties also require the skills to perform process and utility material and energy balances, monitor process yields and measure against targets and budgets.
REQUIREMENTS:
BSChE with several years of chemical plant experience, our client would prefer someone who is a generalist rather than a specialist. Our client prefers an engineer that would like to remain on the Islands long term.
