Process Engineer #1085
Location: Baton Rouge Chemical Plant
Salary: 70 – 90k base salary
Our client operates a modern and well integrated chemical production facility in the greater Baton Rouge area. They are seeking a Process Engineer who is interested in technical engineering challenges. This will include conducting process designs of vessel, piping, pumps and heat exchangers. There will opportunities to optimize the performance of reactors, distillation trains, pumping systems and DCS systems. As a process engineer you would work on improvement projects and support Quality and Environmental management systems. Duties will also include recommending process modifications and reviewing and approving changes in operating procedures. The Process Engineer will support the production team and will monitor operational control parameters and develop economic optimization plans for the unit. You will also contribute to plant safety by assuring designs and equipment meet code and good engineering practices and by conducting PSM studies.
Requirements:
- BS CHE
- 1 – 5 years of chemical industry experience
