Instrumentation Engineer #1225
Location: AR
Salary: 75 – 90k base salary
Overview:
The Instrument Engineer provides assistance and support to the Instrument / Electrical Engineering Department for the design, installation, record keeping, commissioning and start-up of capital instrumentation projects and in the day to day support of the plants Delta V control system and other control system hardware and software.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain, configure, and modify as necessary the Delta V DCS system to include associated PLCs and assume duties for round-the-clock coverage system and related equipment.
- Provide technical assistance for the E&I Maintenance personnel.
- Designs, specifies, purchases, and installs instrumentation and control equipment to meet plant requirements.
- Serve as project manager on assigned instrumentation to include:
1. Cost estimates.
2. AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) preparation
3. Detailed design.
4. Equipment specifications and procurement.
5. Installation supervision, coordination, and start-up assistance.
6. Necessary record keeping.
Position Qualifications:
Requires a BS-Electrical Engineering or BS-Electrical Engineering Technology. Specialized training in the petrochemical industry is recommended. Requires a self-motivated person with good, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with PLC programming, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, SAP, and Access is recommended. Prefer 3 + years of industry experience.
