RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountable for repair, fabrication and inspection of ASME boilers, pressure vessels, piping systems, and pressure relieving devices within a given operating area.
Review and approve piping fabrication isometrics
Maintain list of top-ten mechanical integrity issues for area of coverage
Lead Inspector for turnarounds within area; direct the activities of other ConocoPhillips and contract personnel on a temporary basis during major planned outages
Coordinate conventional and specialty non-destructive examination (NDE) contractors on an as-needed basis; Coordinate process hose inspections
Write SAP notifications for inspection related maintenance work
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or higher in mechanical, civil or materials engineering; or
- 2-year degree or certificate in engineering or technology, with minimum 2 years experience in the design, construction, repair, operation, or inspection of pressure vessels; or
- High school diploma or equivalent, with minimum 5 years experience in the design, construction, repair, operation, or inspection of pressure vessels.
- API 510, and API 570 certifications.
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED):
- Have experience using common inspection software applications (e.g., PCMS, UltraPipe, EMPRV, API-RBI and SAP).
- Training or experience in applying the following:
- API-571 damage mechanisms; and
- API-579 fitness for service; and
- API-580 / 581 risk based inspection
