LOCATION: Washington
COMPENSATION: Base salary is competitive
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs inspections, non-destructive testing and fitness-for-service evaluation on refinery equipment (such as but not limited to tanks, heaters, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, piping) to ensure mechanical integrity, safety and reliability. Ensures construction and repairs comply with codes, standards and industry practices.
- Analyzes inspection findings. Prepares reports. Generates repair /upgrade /modification recommendations based on inspection findings.
- Collaborates with Engineering and Maintenance to establish inspection intervals per applicable industry codes, standards and recommended practices. Prepares inspection plan and work list.
- Collaborates with Maintenance to development and implementation of risk-based routine and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Maintains inspection databases. Ensures documentation is current, accurate and compliant.
REQUIREMENTS:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an inspector, nondestructive examination (NDE) and/or welding.
- API 510, and be willing to obtain API 570, and API 653 certifications within two years.
- Must be able to obtain or currently hold a valid TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) Card.
