Our client is a leading petrochemical company.
Responsibilities:
This position will involve capital projects, unit test runs, implementation of regulatory changes, and changes to existing work procedures/practices. You are responsible for the success of projects from initial chartering through start-up and integration into ongoing operations. This includes, but is not limited to, concept development, engineering design, field construction, and start-up.
Key Accountabilities Include:
- Responsible for developing scope of work details for instrument/electrical discipline including equipment design.
- Responsible for performing equipment design calculations and providing equipment specifications for the purchase of new instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, final elements, DCS, PLC’s, etc.) and electrical equipment (480V / 4160V pumps, switch gear, etc.).
- Takes initiative as a Project Team Leader if required and is responsible for the project success (Cost, Timing and Quality).
- Accountable for project implementation to include field inspection, problem solving, and coordination.
- Conducts RCFA’s and implements preventative/predictive maintenance programs on an as needed basis.
- Participates in PSM reviews (Design Hazard Reviews)
- Participates in LOPA reviews
- Performs LOPA validation and SIL verification.
- Develops Safety Requirement Specifications and maintenance and testing procedures for Safety Instrumented Systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 or more years of instrumentation experience is required
