This refinery is part of a vertically integrated oil company that is pursuing cost advantaged crude sources around the world. This will give them access to new and cheaper supplies of crude oil. Our client is in the early approval stages of a project to expand and upgrade this refinery to handle different types of crude.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare economic evaluations and studies to optimize refinery operations and maximize profitability
- Utilize data from LP models, Simulation models, and refinery test runs to assist in the evaluation process
- Establish unit throughput, feedstock, blends, and unit margin plans for the refinery
- Review and submit government/ agency reports
- Monitor Solomon indicators
- Analyze refinery economics
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
- 2 years experience in refining
Desired Experience:
- Experience with LP modeling and Simulation models
- Experience with Aspen PIMS
- Experience in economic studies and evaluating project economics
- Strong leadership experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
